<2020 NonJangPan Expat & Korean Group Competition>

○ Activity description:

– Foreign & Korean university students will form into groups. (You can apply individually)
  Do group study and present your new Idea  : How to modernize the Korean traditional heritage.  
  (only 20 groups! it’s very high chance to win if you conduct your study until the end!

– You can apply individually or as a group with a total of 4 people.
( 4 persons 1 group / 2~3 foreign students needed / foreigner students should be able to communicate in Korean)

* Topic:  Rediscovering Korean traditional music (Korean traditional music/ sound)
                with spirit of Ongojishin  (Review the old and learn the new.)
* Presentation : Free form (Plan PPT Presentation, Play, Song, etc )
* The presentation language: Korean.

○ Who can join?

  • (40 Korean & 40 Foreign University Students : include master, PHD, language course, exchange students, etc. Who is able to communicate in Korean)
  • Can apply individually : we will arrange a group for you after selection.
  • Team application: 4 person 1 team. ( 2~3 people must be foreign students who speaks Korean)

  • Registration: May 25-June 28,
  • Online Interview: 
  • Selection announcement: July 01, 2020 (Wed)

○ Meetings

*** All of the team members should be able to attend all of the schedules below **

  • 1.- Orientation & lecture : July 4, 2020 (Saturday) Seoul
  • 2.- Final Meeting (Presentation) August 20 (Thu) ~ 21 (Fri), 2020 (no sleeping over) Seoul

    * accommodation will be provided to participants comes from out of Seoul and Gyeonggi

  • 3. Team meetings – for project process.

  •  All participants: Certificate of completion, souvenir, Activity expense payment

  • Winner: Certificate, Prize

○ Prizes

Prizes : Total 19,000,000 KWN

  • Grand prize (1 team): 5 million won – by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

  • Gold prize (1 team): 4 million won – Director of Overseas Culture Promotion

  • Silver prize (2 teams): 3 million won – President of Arirang International Broadcasting

  • Bronze prize (2 teams) 2 million won – President of Arirang International Broadcasting
